Ian Kelley- Author of The Organic Body and Secret Organic Diet Health, fitness and cookbooks and creator of the 6-week Kick Butt Boot Camp. Ian was a lifetime chef, manager and former restaurant owner with over 20 years of experience working with food before pursuing a career in fitness.

Who is Ian Kelley?

Ian Kelley - Author of ‘The Organic Body’ and OrganicBodyBuilding.com I started out working at McDonald’s when I was fourteen, owned my own restaurant in several locations in my early twenties and worked in many kitchens through the years. The standard American diet has always been my specialty, meat and potatoes, hamburgers, pizza, steaks, pot roast, turkey dinners, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, chocolate chip cookies , apple pie and don’t forget breakfast. Through twenty years of professional cooking and food purchasing I have developed a keen ability to judge food quality and freshness.

During my career of working with food and managing restaurants I also became very interest in health, nutrition, fitness and bodybuilding. I studied nutrition and became a certified personal trainer never questioning what I was taught. Going to the gym, Lifting weights and trying different supplements and protein powders became a big part of my life. I accepted a position as Health and Wellness instructor and began lecturing clients on nutrition, driving home the importance of a solid foundation of whole grains, dairy and of course the importance of the food guide pyramid.

As a health and nutrition enthusiast and an avid bodybuilder I started to search for the truth about food, nutrition and health so I could pass it along in my lectures, to my clients and use the knowledge to develop my own physique. As a result I have done intensive research on health, diet and supplements. What I found out was that information was often conflicting and just did not seem right. What I found out was that all nutrition facts presented by the media, government and health, diet and fitness industries were actually just opinions that they usually later would change and never apologize for being dead wrong. I could not understand why the government pushed certain foods so heavily as healthful choices. The food guide pyramid just did not make sense I started to get an uneasy feeling that something was not quite right but I just could not put my finger on it.

One day I had an “A-Ha moment” where all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place and I felt like I could see clearly what was the TRUTH. My books and videos are the product of that profound life-changing experience.

What I believe today is controversial because it goes against what supplement and food companies want you to believe. I am not selling any protein powders or supplements only my opinion on what is and works the best based on my own research and experiences. So why should you listen to me instead of doctors, scientists and captains of chemistry?

Because my opinions and research are not biased from commercial interest.
